Wedding Safe was launched in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic to help couples plan their weddings with confidence and peace of mind. It provided trusted information, safety guidance, and reassurance that wedding venues and suppliers were following best practices to keep couples, guests, and staff safe. Created by wedding industry experts, the aim of Wedding Safe was to restore trust at a time of uncertainty, supporting both couples and suppliers through clear communication, transparency, and verified safety standards.
Our Journey
As the wedding industry recovered, Wedding Safe evolved into a wider initiative focused on maintaining professional standards and supporting collaboration across the UK’s wedding community. That mission continues today, but now through the UK Wedding Association, which brings together venues, suppliers, and wedding professionals committed to quality, ethics, and accountability.
Why the Change
While Wedding Safe was born out of the challenges of the pandemic, the principles behind it – safety, trust, and transparency – remain central to the UK Wedding Association’s work. The Association will continue to promote best practice, accreditation, and professional support for those who make weddings happen across the UK.
